England, United Kingdom - Avon Longitudinal Study of Parents and Children

Dr. Paus is currently directing a collaborative study with the Avon Longitudinal Study of Parents and Children (ALSPAC) based at the University of Bristol in the United Kingdom. The ALSPAC is a large longitudinal birth cohort of young people born in the early 1990’s. This study, funded by the National Institutes of Health, uses magnetic resonance imaging to investigate the role of testosterone and its rise during puberty on the brain and mental health of young people.
